On this and every Thanksgiving, PETA LAMBS remembers the millions of turkeys who are killed for holiday entrées and urges folks to begin a compassionate new tradition with an animal-friendly, vegan meal.

Kristin Dunn, one of our colleagues at the PETA Foundation, recently penned an article for EarthBeat, a project of National Catholic Reporter titled “This Year, Put Compassion on the Thanksgiving Dinner Menu.” In the piece, she connects her Catholic values and Pope Francis’ encyclical on faith and ecology with the urgent need to protect farmed animals, starting with turkeys at Thanksgiving.

We hope you’ll read the article and consider sharing it with your faith community. PETA LAMBS wishes you a Thanksgiving overflowing with peace, joy, and love.
