Our Mission Statement
PETA LAMBS is a Faith Outreach program of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), the largest animal rights organization in the world, with more than 9 million members and supporters globally.
PETA LAMBS opposes speciesism, a manmade, human-supremacist worldview that violates God’s call for humans to be kind and humble stewards of His creation. In Matthew 25:40, Christ reminds us “Whatever you do to the least among my brothers and sisters, you do to me”. This is a foundation of our faith-based advocacy for animals as we focus our attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: in laboratories, in the food industry, in the clothing trade, and in the entertainment business. We also work on a variety of other issues, including the cruel killing of rodents, birds, and other animals who are often considered “pests” as well as cruelty to domesticated animals.
PETA LAMBS defends all of His lovingly created individuals and equips faith-based communities and people to extend God’s love and care to all species.
