When 19 Kids and Counting star Derick Dillard posted a video on Instagram showing him as he ran over a cat while sledding—as family and friends chuckled in the background—LAMBS, PETA’s Christian division, shot off a letter  to Dillard reminding him that real Christian men are kind to animals.

There is nothing Christ-like about tormenting an animal. Jesus commands his followers to “do to others as you would have them do to you”—a command that includes all God’s creatures. We hope that Dillard will delete the video, issue a public apology, and make kinder choices in the future.
